the eight thousand dollar decision

Yesterday was an interesting day, I met up with a my brother's friend who helped us with our housing loan previously. Though I know people along that line who does housing loans, investments and that sort would somehow be involved with "insurance" to most people an insurance agent is like the boogie man. You would want to

A: Avoid them
B: Beat them to a plump
C: Impale them to a pole
D: whatever you want to do to them - I don't care

But knowing he's my brother's friend I'd give him a chance. While talking with him, I actually had my own questions that I would like that ask him. So instead it was more of me talking more than him and he giving me the input, it was fun but I learn much from him. I was actually quite interested in becoming a part-time agent, helping people invest their finance. I mean you can put your money into FD (fix deposit) but the interest rates are way to little. Come on! I put around 10k and after 4 years... man, FOUR YEARS... i got like 400 bucks. Geez.... it was disappointing. But as the years went by I learn about mutual funds and took out all my FD money and shoved it to a mutual funds and I've already made a few thousands in approximately 5 - 6 months... think! Ok i wont go into that.

Because of this, I learn that in our every day lives, we need money and of course how we can put it to use... aiyah! to cut the story short I want to help people invest. So I was interested in becoming an agent. Solely because I want to educate people in the areas of investment. So one of the first thing i would need is to sit for an course on financial planning and later pass an exam by the government. The full course would be around 8k.... this was a let down for me.... but anyway - i think its worth it because once you get your license you can actually sell anything for anyone... may it be car insurance (good business in Malaysia because all cars need to renew their insurance every year), investments, insurance whatever you name it you can have it. So, it all comes back down to one thing that bottle-necks the decision... the money - sigh... should i or should i not? that is the question :p

Pimp My Ride!

I love my car, and I really want to pump it up. It's a Honda City with no frills and thrills at the moment, I mean, what to do right, it's second hand and the previous owner was a lady. She's a catholic so I though she'd be nice but boy was I wrong. But anyway back to my car. What i really want is this ------>

Ok, it's a CR-Z but we don't have it here where I live, sigh but i really want to do up my car. But when reality strikes me, car is the liability, it sucks you dry from your pocket, why? A- Maintenance B- Petrol C-Where I live it's a miracle that your car wouldn't get scratches even if you parked it somewhere safe and of course D- Insurance and Road that is compulsory for you to get - D'OH! easily you would be spending over 2k a year on your car and trust me 2k is not easy to come by unless you're filthy rich but I'm just an ordinary white collar. $%#*! Insurance is good business here because it's yearly, this year I hope I can lower down the insurance because I would like to beef up my car. But the real problem is where can I find the best car insurance quotes? Well, to me I just left this to my wife! I know I know it's pretty mean for me to do something like that so tonight I'm gonna surprise her with something, see, I'm not that bad after all :p

Error 101 - D'OH!!!! WTF???

If you are an on-line game geek, well, I'm sure you've definitely heard of this game "World Of Warcraft" Recently I played my Warlock till I reached level 60 and boy do they have it all planned well at Blizzard. They just have ways to make you upgrade and continue your account. So, they came out with an expansion known as "The Burning Crusade" it's all cool not because of the story - in fact I think there is not specific story but it's more of you having all the "epic" amours, mounts and all that kinda crap and getting "X" amount of honor points from killing the opposite faction. So there, A game claiming to have over 4 Million users, Correct me if I'm wrong but its hell've'lot of players thus through one stupid software Blizzard is one of the big boys in all gaming industry.

SO I WANTED TO UPGRADE MY ACCOUNT to the burning crusade through the on-line upgrade located at their site but oh nooooooo, they wouldn't let me, why? An error occurred with my Credit Card to which it was valid because i was using it to pay monthly for the fee - WTF?! so I lodge a report and they said that I might be a victim of credit card fraud. So, later I was more aware of  all these things about phising crap and thief identity. Of course, the first time you encounter these kind of problems, you would probably freak! well, if you went through the WoW (world of warcraft) forums you would understand that this IS BLIZZARDS Fault! geez! but anyway if you've experienced stuff like that then you could check out LifeLock, they sorta protect your identity and all these phising stuff for you. Check out the LifeLock Promotion Codes and enter the LifeLock Promo Code for their promotion. I dunno, they say they would insure you up to a million if I'm not mistaken upon signing up. So, if you're always freaking out on theft identity and all that sort of stuff, just take my advise; Get the LifeLock.com Promotion Codes enter it and sign up! There easy peasy! you're safe....

reflect!

I think this year is going to be a year I feel that things are going to be more challenging for me. Starting our little short film, coming out with ideas and concepts, working with new people around me and having to challenge day  to day life issues as a married man. At the end of the day I feel myself becoming more and more of an entrepreneur than an artist. Having myself getting involved with helping out the the community - not just talk but putting money to where my mouth is! it is exciting! Thank God I got a housing Loan and got my fist property! having Loans is sometimes a scary thing. You may find yourself sometimes being not able to pay up a sum at a certain time! geez - thank God I'm out of that kinda shit-state. It was hard times then but I learn much through it. About how managing yourself is so important. Some times you want a property but then you have problem with Unsecured Loans. Well, don't fret, keep trying. But most importantly learn to plan your finance well and you will definitely see through well. Make sure your job is stable and enough to cover up what ever your loan is and is an amount that you can cope with or you would find yourself in deep-shit!

Think before you make the decision!

Malaysia, a beautiful country with different ethnic cultures entwined into one thus a country of much variety and differences that colors our beloved land with the red, blue, yellow and white.

Some asked me to describe Malaysia, so I according to the Malaysian rapper he said that Malaysia is like a durian, it's either smelly or "wangi" which denotes nice aroma - and it all depends on your nose how you want to perceive it. But what i do realize mosts that in our beloved land, when it comes to the gaming industry, we get a lot of artist that doesn't know their own value. We produce many artist each year but I would say majority of them do not know  their own value thus saturating the market. This playes an improtant role because it actually degrades the value of a professional artist. I don't blame them but i would blame the schools for not teaching them how to think for themselves. Either way we lack people not with hands but with brains. I know of professional 3D artist that would ask for payday loans because their salary is way below market rate. this is pethatic! and it pisses me off.

But what is to say - we live in a world that opportunities cannot afford to be missed out. True, but the idea of not being abused is another. If you're in it only for the money, then might as well do 'sales' instead of killinng yourself for a low budget project that pays you peanuts. You are an artist, so think like one and value yourself fool!

the jackass award

Greetings ladies and gentlemen from the honorable crowd, we are gathered here today to celebrate the jackass of the year away though we are not even pass half this year yet. It is due to my most profound experience that I believe this award has to be given straight away because of an unmeasurable level of 'dumbness' or call it whatever you want anything that denotes Jackass! So I feel that in all my years I have never met someone so utterly stupid and this proud award is given to my f**king boss. This is because he has won all jackass categories with an amazing score on 11/10... yes its amazing how he did it ... so the categories are!

1. Wanting to read my MSN messages word for word, actually want to me scroll as he reads it - WTF?

2. With the same agreement - Yes to the expatriate who he is paying 20k per month and said you're wasting time asking for such a long time to do this thing to me. It was all in the same room at the same time - what was he thinking?

3. Assuming that I'm the best of buddies with an ex employee who left the company that made him sad... even after I talk with the ex employee simply as friends - it pisses him off. Maybe the guy fell in love with him and he rejected him? curious!

4. Who would you listen to? a fresh graduate with no experience or a person with over 6 years in working industry. he chose the fresh grad who knows nothing... good for him.

5. contradicting his own words - thus making himself stupid and tried to cover up but failed miserably.

well - at the end of the day, we all know he's rich - born with a silver spoon in his mouth but having all his brain ejected out from his bum thus making him the jackass of the year... lets see how he'll hold it up shall we :)

A story to tell

Finally, after much research and debate between a group of my friends, we have decided to start working on our very own short film! though we haven't found the suitable title for it yet but we're still thinking. As for our own identity we have had numerous wacky ideas.

1. Uber-leet-geeks
2. the cardigans (yea its a band name)
3. three monkees
4. more to come

Its funny though but I guess we're all having fun in it at the same time. I wouldn't share much on the story just yet as the details remains - so until then. you guys have to wait. but here's a little teaser for ya.

A brand new day!

Yestereve was quite a day! the counting of votes to see who takes the parlimentary and the state seats! Its quite amazing how this time round, the opposition is swatting BN like a fly. We'll they deserved it for swindling our tax money. I just woke up - I'll be heading down town to see the aftermath of last nights battle for the parliment! We'll for you voters out there - good for you. Those who haven't vote - shame on you. I had a freind said "i did not vote because I wanted to help the opposition" - he got a kick from me. I am still yet to see the overall results but I guess i'll just lie down for another few more minutes, jeez, waking up ubber early really takes the life from someone (especially me) *yawn*

Bangkok: Suit UP!

During our last visit to Bangkok I wasn't totally geared up for Bangkok to get the best pictures. Well this time its different, I think I'll pay a visit to the camera shop in Pudu Plaza for a new lense! I just bought myself a CPL filter - this is good to reduce the amount of light when i capture a shot. Ah now to get my hands on a 50mm. Though i know this would make my heart sink a little but i know its worth it!
